I'm a product designer and design leader, husband, father, "too-many-hobbies" enthusiast, gamer, and a ride-or-die for California. I've been crafting human interfaces and experiences for over a decade. 😎
My favorite part of releasing something into the world, is when the user has a frictionless experience while using the product — making all the hard work to get there disappear is a delight. 😍
A short story about how I got here
I was blissfully unaware of my love to design and create for a lot of my life—even when I was drawing all the time, creating maps for counter-strike, making supercross poster designs to put up in my bedroom, or redesigning GUIs in world of warcraft for raiding. I would spend countless overnight hours doing these things while (initially) going to school for accounting. 😩
Through that side quest of designing, I started self-teaching myself the core design principles and skills. I attended local Dallas workshops and had a fantastic design mentor, which allowed me to start my design career for a global communications company. 🤟🏼
When I am not a designer
Once the design work is done, you'll probably find me spending time with my wife and two daughters, playing some type of fps game with friends, hitting the track on my motocross bike, cruising down to the beach, watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, or visiting my close family. 🧑🧑🧒🧒
